Blood Sugar - Checking for Life

I was diagnosed with Type I diabetes when I was 21 years old. Kind of late to get Juvenile Diabetes but, hey I can deal with it.

When the doctor first told me I would have to check my blood sugar level daily, I had never heard of it before. He had the nurse show me a One Touch meter at the time and it seemed pretty easy until that prick (the lancet, not the doctor that is) hit my my finger.

Since then, checking my blood sugar level has become a more than once daily routine that I share with millions of people.

This blog is to help you manage that little blood glucose meter we have to all carry as part of our new adventures.

Thanks, John Adams - checkmybloodsugar dude.
